Well, it's easy once you connect the dots. Here's what we know about the blogger that calls himself 'CC':

He's vehemently anti-war

he's a socialist

he's a misogynist

he's a computer consultant

he works from his home

he lives in the 'Waterloo' area

One thing that's not commonly known is that 'CC' was once referred to as 'Doug' on a couple of blogs comments. (here and here)

Do a Google search for 'Doug peace consultant Waterloo' and the very first hit that comes up is for a company called 'Peaceworks Computer Consulting'.

'CC' is in Waterloo
'Peaceworks is in Waterloo

Dot connected!

Scroll down their list of staff and you'll come to the name 'Douglas Friesen'.

'CC', a computer consultant, was once referred to as 'Doug'
Peaceworks has a computer consultant named 'Doug'

Dot connected!

Could it be this easy? Possibly. Let's dig a little deeper!

Here's what Peaceworks says about itself on it's homepage:

Justice

The most widely held understanding of justice refers to that which
people deserve. We believe that justice is better defined in terms of the things
that people need. From this definition, situations like homelessness, poverty,
racism, exploitation, abuse, and many others become issues of justice. This type
of justice is often referred to as "social justice", and it is to organizations
that promote this type of justice that we dedicate our efforts.

Affordability

For many reasons, hiring effective computer personnel has become a
costly undertaking. Because most social justice organizations, individuals and
small family businesses have considerably tighter budgets than other
corporations or groups, they are often unable to afford the costs required to
secure quality computer support. As such, many of the benefits that may be
reaped by appropriate use of computer technology are not available to such
organizations.

Justice + Affordability = PeaceWorks

PeaceWorks was conceived with these concepts of justice and
affordability in mind. In order to make the benefits of appropriate computer
technology available to justice-oriented groups and businesses, PeaceWorks
provides consulting services based on a sliding fee scale. Actual fees vary
depending on the financial strength of the organization, with one rate scale for
non-profit/charities, and another for businesses. Using this sliding scale, our
more financially strong clients effectively subsidize those with less monetary
resources and are still able to achieve considerable savings over other computer
consulting alternatives.

Wow. Wealth redistribution is alive in the tech industry. Does the blogger known as 'CC' think that way too? Why, yes! Yes he does!

'CC' = anti-war and socialist
Peaceworks = anti-war and socialist

Dot Connected!

Peaceworks employs 18 consultants/staff. With numbers like that, one would expect they'd be operating out of some sort of office building due to space concerns. That's not the case. Peaceworks is run out of one side of a duplex on Erb St. in Waterloo.

It's too small to house 18 personnel. As a result, it's consultants work from their own homes.

'CC' works from home
Peaceworks' consultants work from home.

Dot connected!

There you have it. Connect the dots! 'CC' = Douglas Friesen! Looks like he can't hide behind his shield of anonymity any longer!
